Hey Guys

Hey!

It’s been a while! I’m still alive, but I have failed to blog while at WWDC like I promised.  Right now, I’m waiting for [insert session] in [insert room] and I’m very excited.  I’m about to learn something VERY COOL.

So yeah, we’ve been having a great time here and been doing heaps of fun things.  Went to Alcatraz and walked all around the hills of San Francisco, as most of you already know, and I have heaps of very cool photos thanks to the wonderful weather.

Oooh, it’s starting!

Oh lighting fail! lights went out.  Makes for sleepy time and no handwriting.

Phewf, they are back on… that’s fortunate.

Wow, exciting talk… Inspired minds… back later…

OK. So that session is over and theJessSquared hive mind is now boggling!!

Better go and do some work and fix it!

Ciao!

I lied…?

Ok, so I did say I would write about whatever you wanted me to. Well that is just too much pressure!

I think I will just stick to writing non-sensical, non-interesting and non-sophisticated blogs while killing time in cafés.

I am terribly sorry to disappoint all you planetmaclab subscribers. You won’t learn anything wonderful here, except perhaps occasionally when I have something riveting to talk about.

Maybe we will have more luck after WWDC. Maybe.

Speaking of which!! Squee!! Only… *counts days on fingers*… 17 days!!

I’m very excited, but the pressure is on to get ready in time. If I hadn’t already prepared my laptop for repairs I might actually be doing work right now.

Oh well, that’s enough from me for now. Typing blogs on my iPhone is pretty mehfforty.

See you guys!!

Congratulations!

In a stroke of good luck, my bestie and “business partner” Jess Lethbridge will be joining me in San Francisco, after winning a WWDC scholarship from ADC directly!

Congratulations to her for being selected from a worldwide pool of, i’m sure, very talented prospective scholarship winners!!

Also, I have forgotten to congratulate all my other friends on this blog.  Josh, Paris, Bennett, and Manning:  Can’t wait to go to WWDC with you guys!

That’s all for now!!

Jess

Send help!

I’ve just downloaded another iPhone app!

What’s happened to me?

I’m turning into a techno junkie, and blogging from my iPhone! Next thing you know I’ll be twitter girl!!

*sigh*

It sure is fun though. And convenient. But possibly the cause of my slight insomniatic problem.

WWDC

Hooray! I’m off to San Fran-cis-co!

That is all.

Thank you.

Grapes you say..?

Grapes.  I can take them, or not.  I don’t really mind.

The best thing about grapes is how, when you peel all the skin off, you have EYEBALLS!  Peeling grapes is like the best part of having fruit salad!  I used to do this all the time as a child, and it added yet another wacky trait to the evergrowing list of ‘things’ that make me exactly like my aunt, who I’ve spent maybe a couple of months with in my entire life. Freaky-deaky right? No, you’re right, not really.

Grapes are also great for wine. And sultanas.  Sultanas used to be of Turkish origin (apparently because some sultan left his grapes behind when a tiger tried to kill him for them*), but now typically mean any grape that has been dried and treated to resemble traditional sultanas.  Dirty rotten cheats!  Did you know, that a raisin is ANY dried grape, while a currant is a specific type of grape (zanta grape) or blackcurrant or redcurrant?   Zantas are currants, and raisins are grapes, and currants are raisins… are blackcurrants grapes? :O

Seedless grapes are the best.  I really don’t like the taste of those pesky seeds.  When you crunch them, they make your tongue all coated funny.  It’s gross… Blech.  Seedless grapes FTW :)  How do the grapes make babbies though if they have no seeds?  Are we eating the last of their lineage?! Poor little fruitless grapes…

You know what you have to be careful of when growing grapes… bugs!

Those pesky little critters gets in your fruits and ruins thems!  I’m not really sure what Insectosaurus does… but I have a feeling he is one to watch out for.  So, I hear he blows silk out his nose?  Does that mean he is related to silk worms, who are known to feed from mulberry leaves (and no I didn’t need wiki for that!)?  Mulberries and grapes are both types of berry.  So, I guess we have to watch out for insectorsaurus’ who are trying to eat grape leaves! I know that insectosaurii are typically 350ft tall, but you know, he might hang out in that overgrown grape garden at your nana’s house!

The more I think about connections between insectosaurus and grapes, the more I realise I should be sound asleep in bed.

Thanks for the suggestion EvilJess…
